Škoda Octavia registration tax in Greece (EU import)
An estimate of the Greek registration tax on a used Škoda Octavia, by year of first registration (2017–2025). For example: 2025: €4,942 – €5,882 · 2017: €1,069 – €2,171. These are estimates with a range, not an official amount: the same calculator that runs on the home page computes them.
Estimate by year for the Škoda Octavia
For each year of first registration the table shows one of the most registered versions in our data (the first to pass our quality checks), its pre-tax retail price from the AADE price lists, and the registration tax that results on 2 November 2026.

The assumptions behind the figures
- The tax falls due on 2 November 2026 (the date of the data). Rule set GR-RT-2025.07.1 applies; it has been compared with the Government Gazette.
- First registered on 1 July of the year in the table. Depreciation is measured in months of age.
- Mileage at or below the average the law presumes, so no mileage reduction. A car with more than the average mileage pays less.
- No factory options and no historic use.
- Body category for the depreciation table: not specified (the calculation gives a range across all depreciation categories).
- The range comes from the cheapest and the dearest trim in the price list, from the CO₂ span of the version’s registrations, and from the ambiguities the calculator reports (for example the Euro sub-stage).
The registration tax is based on the AADE retail price, not on the price you paid. It excludes VAT, transport, inspection, fees and plates: use the calculator for the full cost.

Frequently asked questions
How is the registration tax on a Škoda Octavia calculated?
From the pre-tax retail price in the AADE price lists, depreciation by month of age, a reduction for mileage above the average, a Euro factor and a CO₂ factor. The methodology page explains each step.
Why is the result a range rather than one amount?
The same model and year come in many versions with different prices and CO₂ emissions, and a few parameters stay open until the exact code and details of your car are known. With your own car’s details the range narrows.
Is this the amount I will pay?
No, it is an estimate. The customs authority sets the tax on the declaration for your own car and its official details.
